As I write this, as on August 20th, 2024, the polls are showing Kamala Harris is in the lead. She is leading Trump by a thin margin of 1 to 2 points in most of the polls. This is ofcourse because of "the honeymoon period", she is having with the voters of America. She is a new candidate compared to Trump, people are fascinated about her (especially the Democrats) and are looking upon her as a good alternative to Trump. When asked "Why should Kamala Harris be elected as President?" their answer, most of the time begins with "Because she is "not Trump"!! She is a completely different person from Trump."
